Typical Coaching Program

What to expect in a typical coaching program or session:

Typically, it takes time to embody change that lasts.  Generally, this type of sustainable change comes about from identifying an area of change (which becomes the topic of your Coaching Program), increasing awareness of this area, setting intentions, developing the program objectives, and incrementally building new competencies through practices identified through the Coaching Program, all within a confidential, supportive environment.

Here is a summary of a typical Integral Life Coaching program:

Session 1: Intake.  90 minutes.  This is where you are given an overview of the coaching process and where we identify your Coaching Topic: an area of your life which deeply matters to you and that you would like support in improving.  Before moving on, we also assure that this type of coaching and coach fits well with you and that you would like to continue with the Coaching Program.

In between the Intake and Offer (generally within about a week), I take time out to create an individualized Coaching Program which meets your unique needs.

Session 2: Offer.  Also 90 minutes.  This is where you are given your Coaching Program in writing and where we discuss the program together in detail, making adjustments accordingly.  This process is very much a co-creation; as such, some "in the moment" modification is likely.  The end result is a program that you believe in and stand behind, which, among other things, acts to increase your own levels of motivation and inspiration.

In between the Offer and Cycles of Development (about 2 weeks), you will be given a practice designed to increase your self awareness.  Why?  Because by better understanding that which you are, you are in a much better place to begin stepping toward that which you wish to become.

Sessions 3 through around 5: Cycles of Development.  60 minutes per session.  Depending on the nature of the Coaching Topic and your own unique situation, you will be assigned one or more Cycles of Development (COD's).  These COD's are exercises which begin building competencies in areas which will support your Coaching Topic.

In between the COD's (2-3 weeks) you are encouraged to "report in" to me regarding progress you are experiencing.  We also address any resistance or necessary scope changes during these "follow-up" meetings.

Completion:  At some point during the Coaching Program, you will determine (and we will both agree) that you are ready to continue without the regular support of a coach.  In essence, you have largely overcome the difficulties of your Coaching Topic!

The result of all of this is that in working together to identify your coaching topic, you then set your intentions, we make a plan and implement that plan via the Coaching Program, all the while assessing progress. During coaching program, you have a coach who will support you through the change process, greatly increasing your likelihood of success.

Of course, no two Coaching Programs are the same.  Depending on the particular Coaching Topic and your own unique situation, the suggested program path varies.   This is why it is best to contact me to arrange your free 30-minute discussion.
